Technics Sp10Mk2 NG

$0.00

Optimized interpretation designed for legacy Matsushita based Technics Sp10Mk2 direct drive transcription turntables, shown with optional Artisan Fidelity precision pure Copper / stress relieved Magnesium Aluminum alloy based balanced platter (5.4kgs. ~ 12lbs.). Dead silent ultra black backgrounds, highly resolving and spot on dynamics and neutrality are intrinsic playback characteristics. Pictured in Porsche Basalt black. Design features directly coupled, layered mass loaded Panzerholz plinth with zero internal voids and integral shielded active bearing drain with our latest Quiet Core technology. Constrained layer damped plinth features four levels of overlaying substratum consisting of German engineered Panzerholz, select low density woods in conjunction with anti magnetic metals permanently bonded and sealed together using synthetic material specific permanent bonding agents. Essentially, this aids in forming a non-resonant yet stable platform which has the ability to sustain decades of consistent use.

Active isolation technology is employed through the use of Stillpoints patented vibration devices which allows even greater levels of focus, air and space around instruments and vocals within the soundstage. Integrated Stainless Steel motor coupling ring ensures the most intimate physical motor / bearing / plinth relationship.  Detailed micro polish and oil re-lubrication service provided for the main bearing assembly. Technics factory speed control and logic circuits are located in a dedicated outboard shielded and damped aluminum chassis. A fully shielded control cable connects the logic controller to the separately housed motor and bearing assembly. The Technics SH-10E power supply is housed in the factory chassis and features a comprehensive rebuild with full one year warranty provided against defects. The turntable, bearing, motor and logic/control boards are all grounded from a common and defeatable ground located at the rear of the outboard controller chassis.  In the event one should wish to revert the Technics Sp10Mk2 turntable back to the integrated factory chassis, this is entirely possible.

Work performed by our certified electronics technician with 35+ years experience includes the following: Phase tracking timing bench test, frequency and reference oscillator motor level calibration, master clock crystal and axillary main board inspection, power supply voltage and rails adjusted and scope checked, removal of factory brake mechanism (reversible) and Technics SH-10E factory power supply fully rebuilt and bench tested.  Brand specific capacitors and diodes optional (Black Gate, Nichicon, Panasonic, Vishay, Shottky, Stealth).  Both nine inch and twelve inch effective length tonearms, single and double arm plinth configurations available.  Safe shipping is a high priority of ours and one we take seriously. We securely crate and pack our hand crafted turntables to ensure safe shipping anywhere in the world.  ISPM-15 stamped certified international shipping crates supplied for international orders.
